One of the big issues facing EFL Teachers with children is how handle education for our own children. It’s a tough enough issue for parents in our home countries like the US, Canada, England and Australia but it’s a problem magnified for those of us teaching English as a foreign language. Our kids are important and so is their education.
Some countries welcome our children into both their public and private schools. Others limit our children to private schools. A few, especially in the Mid East, limit our children to expat international schools.
A TEFL salary, if your employer isn’t providing a significant subsidy then an international school is out of the question. A private school may be out of the question as well. In some countries, education of our children is the toughest obstacles to TEFL we face.
I hope we explore and I’d hear suggestions on how you handle TEFL with Kids. How are you handling education for your kids?
